I got an impression that Germany at the turn of the 20th century had a lot of very important thinkers and scientists, who created foundation for lots of modern theories and philosophical concept. Freud, Hegel, Kant, Schopenhauer, Gauss, Weierstrass, Dirichlet, Hilbert, Jung, Weber, Koch, Petri, Schrödinger, Heisenberg, Fromm and so on.

Is there some historical, political or economical background for this phenomenon? Or it is only my personal bias and there is no phenomenon at all?

Note: much of this is source from the German Wikipedia, which doesn't have English equivalents for some of the quoted articles.

This can be traced even further back to the late 18th and throughout the 19th century, when the German nations (there wasn't a single one yet) considered itself das Land der Dichter und Denker, as literary historian Wolfgang Menzel said

Translated

The German don't do a lot, but they make up for it by writing even more. One day, when a citizen of future centuries looks back at the current [i.e. 1828] moment of German history, they'll encounter more books than people. [… ] They will say that we slept and dreamt in books. [… ] The sensual German people loves to think and confabulate [lit. write fiction or poetry]. It always has time to write.

It may also go back to Johann Carl August Mutäus in the 18th century

The term was also used derogatorily by people in other countries and was then warped, in light of German militarism and totalitarianism in the 20th century to Land der Richter und Henker (land of judges and executioners).

The origins go back to enlightened, though still absolutist, monarchs like Frederick the Great. But it's also linked with the development of a Bildungsbürgertum, a bourgeois elite that saw education as a high goal. In this sense it took denken out of dichten und denken, focusing on its meaning of thinking and devising things.

As @Michael Hardy wrote, this was supported by an excellent school and university system. It allowed the bourgeois to obtain high social standing through education instead of noble birth.

However, lest this be thought as some great meritocracy

Dadurch baute das Bildungsbürgertum Bildungs- und Sprachbarrieren auf, die es zu einer elitären Schicht werden ließ, zu der Ungebildete nur schwer Zutritt gewannen.

Meaning

The educated bourgeoisie built up barriers in said education and language which led them to become an elite into which the uneducated could not easily gain access.

Interestingly, it also became a path to assimilation for German Jews, which is why there were so many great Jewish scientists and engineers from Germany. Until the turn towards the idea of Blood and Volk around the turn of the 19th/20th century segregated German Jews regardless of how much they supported the Fatherland.

Jews who entered the Bildungsbuergertum embraced the ideal of Bildung, a process of intellectual expansion, aesthetic refinement, and moral aspiration. Discord between “social-political” and “cultural-epistemological” variants of Bildung, however, complicated their enthusiasm, as A. Assman has shown. Ultimately, Germans armed with Fichte and the Grimms abandoned eternal, universal Bildung for their own particular historical Volksnation. As Volk outstripped Bildung at the turn of the century anti-Semitic vitriol spread despite Jewish support of the Fatherland. (source: Review by Gregory Kaplan (Stanford Humanities Center and Department of Religious Studies, Stanford University) of German Jews: A Dual Identity by Paul Mendes-Flohr, page 1

The number of great scientists in a country strongly correlates with periods of vigorous economic development of the nation. Examples: England since 17th century and later. Netherlands in 17th century. France in 18th and early 19th centuries. Japan and US in 20th century. Germany unified (and thus became a nation) in the second part of 19th century and a period of vigorous economic development followed. Very quickly it reached the level of England and passed it on many economic criteria. The same period was the golden age of German science.

2 The Initiative, Referendum and Recall in Switzerland

A) Background

The text The Initiative, Referendum and Recall in Switzerland is an important example of "how law travels" in the two-way street of cultural exchange in law and legal culture between Switzerland and the United States. The text deals with aspects of Alfred Kölz's (see text 2.30) interesting view on circular "travels" of ideas on government in the "Atlantic" area, which became effective in the times of the Helvetic, the regeneration and the democratic movement in Switzerland based on ideas of natural law. Towards the end of the 19th century "the populist movement" in the United States against the power of the trusts and the economic privileges of the abuses of power by the politicians have led to the integration of popular initiatives, referendums and "recalls" in most of the constitutions of the Western States in the United States modeled after Swiss instruments. Alfred Kölz assumed that these ideas had been brought to the attention of the people in the Western States of the Union by emigrants, particularly from the Canton of Zurich and the Confederation. Fritz Fleiner, in his seminal inaugural lecture of 4th December 1915, with the title "Entstehung und Wandlung moderner Staatstheorien in der Schweiz" (origin and changes of modern theories of government in Switzerland), made express references to those transatlantic "travels".

William Rappard started his career, as a young professor at Harvard University and thereof afterwards became an early representative of a rising school of internal political science. He was then an eminent cosmopolitan professor of economics, economic history and political science in Geneva, who co-founded the Graduate Institute of International Affairs of the University of Geneva and advised the government of Switzerland over a long period on key matters of foreign policy.

From 1917 to 1919, William Rappard was a member of various Swiss diplomatic missions to Washington, D.C., London and Paris, including service with the Swiss delegation to the peace conference in France that ended the First World War. He made a strong impression on President Woodrow Wilson and was highly influential in persuading him to choose Geneva as headquarters of the League of Nations. William Rappard's greatest institutional contribution between the world wars was his co-founding in 1927 of the Graduate Institute for International Studies in Geneva, with Paul Mantoux, the internationally respected economic historian and expert on the industrial revolution. For many years he was Rector (President) of the University of Geneva. William Rappard was a close observer and avid scholar of complex cultural exchanges in law and legal culture between Switzerland and the United States. The text at hand was already written in 1912 and published in the "American Academy of Political and Social Science". During World War II he had a principled discussion with Heinrich Goebbels at the home of essayist and diplomat Carl J. Burckhardt outside Geneva. He was an ardent conservative and guardian of Swiss values and briefly was a member of the Swiss Parliament. After World War II he was a member of the delegation of Switzerland in the negotiations of the Washington Agreements, regularising the relationship between Switzerland and the United States after World War II. Besides having an American passport by origin he is a representative of the Romandie, the French speaking part of Switzerland. He mostly wrote his texts in French and in English.

B) Summary

The working hypothesis of William Rappard's text is that there are many parallels between the United States and Switzerland. According to William Rappard there are relations and resemblances that - although they may escape the glance of the superficial observer - should not be overlooked by careful students of comparative political science. The text draws these parallels in political, legal, social and economic areas. It is an exemplar of comparative political science and analogy building. William Rappard analyses the recent adoption of Swiss institutions in the United States. He talks of the legal instruments of Initiative, Referendum and Recall as a case of democratic contagion and situates the influence of Swiss ideas in the most marked features of the political evolution of the United States in the course of the 19th century, that is an ever growing popular dissatisfaction with the state legislators and a consequent constitutional limitation of their powers.

William Rappard describes the influences of Swiss ideas by way of citing long lists of articles and books published in English on Swiss history and Swiss institutions. He then recalls the details of the political developments that led to the adoption of certain features of Swiss government. To underpin his arguments, William Rappard then carries out a detailed analysis of legislation in Switzerland after the formation of the Constitution of Switzerland in 1848. He gives a detailed analysis of the fate of the institutions of the referendum, the initiative and the recall in various Cantons and on the level of the Confederation.

In his conclusions, William Rappard specifically distills the key arguments on the suitability of such adoptions as part of a sound comparative political science analysis.

Warp speed!

Ah, the warp drive, that darling of science fiction plot devices. So, what about a warp drive? Is that even a really a thing?

Let's start with the "warping" part of a warp drive. Without doubt, Albert Einstein's theory of general relativity ("GR") represents space and time as a 4-dimensional "fabric" that can be stretched and bent and folded. Gravity waves, representing ripples in the fabric of spacetime, have now been directly observed. So, yes spacetime can be warped. The warping part of a warp drive usually means distorting the shape of spacetime so that two distant locations can be brought close together — and you somehow "jump" between them.

This was a basic idea in science fiction long before Star Trek popularized the name "warp drive." But until 1994, it had remained science fiction, meaning there was no science behind it. That year, Miguel Alcubierre wrote down a solution to the basic equations of GR that represented a region that compressed spacetime ahead of it and expanded spacetime behind to create a kind of traveling warp bubble. This was really good news for warp drive fans.

Lars J Hange, born in Denmark in 1837 wrote the book “Did the Norsemen visit the Dakota Country?” The Indian Legends of the Dakotas contain indications of our old Northern language. The church ministry under the directions of Archbishop of Breman shows that there were at least one thousand families in the American Colonies, in the Dakota area, in the 12th century. There is written proof of this in the Vatican library.

There are a least 100 words in Chippewa, Algonquin, Oneidas and other tribes that belong to our old Northern vocabulary.

The Scandinavians did visit the interior of the Dakotas long before the French and English Explorers.

There is a large Runic Inscription in Ludlow Cave in South Dakota. There are Runes inscribed below the neck of a Cow with Calf. The Runes M-L-T is a non-voweled form of old Norse roots that mean ‘giving milk and milking.’

The petroglyph is the work of a Norseman. Probably a farmer for the instructions of Norse-Speaking youngsters, probably his own children, dated the twelfth Century.

The famous “Thruston Tablet” was found in 1874 near Castilian Springs, Tennessee. It has a pictograph on both sides. It records a skirmish between Indians and Vikings.

Fredrick Pohl, author of several books on Viking evidence wrote about it in his book, “Viking Settlements of North America.” He tells of the battle. The pictograph is now in the Tennessee State Museum in Nashville. Look it up on the Net. Make hard copies before all our artifacts are deleted.

Quantum Physics + Tarot = Health, Wealth, Happiness

The Age of Aquarius has given us the Laws of Quantum Physics. These Laws have opened all the closed and half closed doors to all the secret wisdom of the past.

The Secrets of the Tarot are there for those who wish to delve into them. No longer do you need to belong to a Secret Society or pay dues to receive Secret Instructions. No longer will the knowledge and wisdom of the Tarot be couched in metaphors and similes and Ancient Hebrew codes. You are now able to abstract all the knowledge and wisdom of the Tarot by yourself.

The Laws of Quantum Physics tell us that there exists an infinite Ocean of Intelligent Living Energy called the Quantum Ocean. Everything that ever was, is or will be exists there. There is no time nor space there, only the “Here – Now!”

The Great Secret that the Age of Aquarius has revealed to us is this: ‘The Quantum Ocean is the Mind of God!”

This is the Creator God. The Creator of all the Lesser Gods. The Creator who put all the energy of the “Big Bang” into the one Ball. But it wasn’t a Big Bang that started Creation. It was the Creator God and He/She did it with a smile and an outward breath.

The other amazing thing about the Quantum Ocean, Mind of God is that it responds to our thoughts, wishes and intentions. Therefore, we have a direct telephone link to all the wisdom in the Mind of God, Quantum Ocean.

One of the quickest ways to abstract information and knowledge out of the Quantum Ocean is with Symbols. It responds to written and spoken words, but the information that is contained in the Quantum Ocean is contained in small energy packets, held together by a symbol.

The Ancient wisdom Teachers knew of the Quantum Ocean though they may have called it other names.

When the an Age of Religious Darkness descended upon the planet Tarot sages met secretly. They wanted to save as much of the Ancient Wisdom as was possible. They knew that symbols were carriers and transmitters so they encoded all their knowledge into the symbolism of the Tarot Cards.

The Laws of Quantum Physics can now explain in modern language the meanings of the Tarot Symbols.

The Tarot cards are multi-purpose. They depict the evolutionary process of man. They are keys to the attainment of all wisdom and knowledge. They can heal, each Tarot key corresponds to a different part of your physical body.

The Tarot Keys are energies, not words. You are energy. Each of your chakras are energies, your organs are energies.

The Key to attaining wisdom, Health, Wealth and Love is to attract the Tarot energy out of the Quantum Ocean, Mind of God and into your Aura. This is done through meditation and conscious breathing. Next article will share this information with you.

How To Study Runes For Beginners

Runes. Runes. Runes. What are they? How should you use them?

The Runes have been around since time immemorial. In recent history (the past 2000 years) they have surfaced three times in the affairs of man. The first time was about 1000 years ago when the Vikings held sway in the world. They took them on their Dragon Long Ships and left traces of them on stones and monuments throughout the world.

They rose are again in Germany at the turn 20th Century and Guido Von List and other German Mystics once more empowered them.

Now they are making another resurgence throughout the world. They have been used to write, to divine, to encrypt graves and tombstones, to bless ships, to empower weapons and to perform magic.

But what are they? They are symbols, keys to the Universal Creative Energies. They are energies that can be attracted and projected without any regard to distance or time. They can be used to recreate your life.

The Age of Aquarius, which we have just entered, has given us the Laws of Quantum Physics. These laws prove that the Runes are energies and can be used to better your life.

Simply stated the Laws of Quantum Physics tell us that there exists an infinite Ocean of thinking, intelligent energy called the Quantum Ocean. Spiritually it is the Mind of the Creator God. The God who created all other Gods. There is no time nor space in the Quantum Ocean only the HERE-NOW.

Everything that ever was, is or will be contained within the Quantum Ocean the Runes are there and have always been there.

The Quantum Ocean responds to our thoughts and symbols. What ever you think or what ever symbol you use connects you directly to the corresponding Energy in the Quantum Ocean..

Therefore Runes are symbols for the Creative Energies of the Universe contained in the Quantum Ocean.

To begin meditate on each of the 18 Runes of the Armanen Futhark. In this way you will attract the energies of the Runes into your Aura. Whatever energies you carry in your Aura attracts your life to you.

Do not be concerned at this time with Rune History, Rune Mythology, Rune Monuments, etc. Get the Rune energy inside of you. Take one Rune a day and look and meditate on it for 15 minutes. Only be concerned with one Key Word per Rune, so you will know exactly what energies you are attracting into your Aura.

Now Begin. Rune FA – Wealth Rune UR – Health Thorn – Protection Os – Wisdom Rit – Intuitions KA – Creativity Hagal – Universe Not – Karma Is – Self Ar – Honor Sig – Victory Tyr – Courage Bar – Birth Laf – Law Man – Masculinity Yr – Femininity Eh – Marriage Gibor – God. The trip of a thousand miles begins with the first step.

How To Project Rune Energies

Up to this point in our lessons, we have been learning how to attract the energies of the Runes out of the Quantum Ocean and into our Auras.

Runes are creative, universal energies and the Runic energy you bring into your Aura, will create similar things in your physical reality. You attract Rune FA into your Aura and you will attract physical money into your life.

Attract Rune UR energies into your aura and you will attract physical health.

The Laws of Quantum Physics explain to us that ALL is energy. That there exists an infinite ocean of thinking, intelligent energy called the Quantum Ocean. In reality, it is the Mind of God who created everything, including the lesser Gods.

The God who has remained hidden down through the ages, couched in so many religions. Now with the Age of Aquarius, we can not only know who this God is, but we can know the Laws of Creation.

Runes are very powerful tools to use to co-create and recreate your life.

Since the Quantum Ocean responds to our thoughts, we can think these Runic energies into our lives. I call it the Science of Mental Radionics.

Once you have your Aura charged with the suitable runic energies, you can project these energies to others, to family or other loved ones or to the soldiers on the battle field.

Here is how you can project runic energy while in your favorite chair, which by now has become your outer Rune Realm due to all the Meditations and Breathing exercises you have been practicing while sitting in it.

Inhale the runic energies you intend to use out of the Quantum Ocean. Mentally chant the specific Rune Mantras over and over.

Hold your right hand up and imagine the rune energy flowing from your Aura to the index finger.

You can either have the person you want to project runic energy to in the room with you or you can use a photo or simply a mental image.

Take a deep breath and exhale the runic energy out from your hand and into the Aura of your partner or the person you wish to project to.

As you are projecting, chant the rune mantra three times. While exhaling, imagine the runic energies flowing through your hand into the Third Eye of your partner.

You can proceed and project this energy to each of your partner’s chakras. Or simply to their Aura in general. If you intend to heal using the Rune Ur, point directly at the Chakra which is associated with the ailing organ, or directly at the organ itself.

All is Energy, your are energy, your chakras are energy, your organs are energy, your loved ones are energy, Runes are energy. Learn how to project Runes and help bring them into the 21st Century.

What if Dweller On Threshold Really Exists?

What if the dweller on the Threshold does exist? Many of the Age of Pisces occult writers wrote about it. I specify Age of Pisces, because it was the Age of “I Believe.”

Those occult writers who may have reached a higher level of consciousness and knowledge than the average person saw into the Quantum Ocean, though “Glasses Darkly.” It was only their abstraction.

What they saw, abstracted and wrote about was believed by millions of people.

Why? Because millions of people could not have higher consciousness abstraction. They had to rely on what others told them. Then they believed what they were told. Hence, the Age of Pisces, the Age of “I Believe.”

Some very great and powerful occult writers tried to explain who or what the Dweller on the Threshold really was. Madame Blavatsky, in her writings on Theosophy, Bulwer Lytton’s, Zanoni, Golden Dawn writers, etc.

They saw the Dweller as a Powerful being, who stood on the doorway to the higher, inner worlds and challenged you. He was the sum total of all the bad deeds you performed and he forced you to recant, repent and go back.

Christianity is replete with this type of Dweller. They have a Great Archangel standing at the gates of Heaven with a Flaming Sword to block your entrance.

What if these are all false abstractions by various writers who did not fully see or understand the Laws of Quantum Physics. These laws now allow us to come and go into the Quantum Ocean, Mind of God without any interfering entities. We can come and go in and out of heaven even now while we are alive.

Do Dwellers exist? Of Course. The Mind of Man has the power to dwell on thoughts, ideas and other people’s abstractions until the power of the individual and collective thoughts reach critical mass and become reality. Man has brought them into being by believing another’s abstraction and constantly thinking about it.

But they only remain a reality as long as you “Believe” in them. To believe in something without direct knowledge or experience keeps you bound to the past and the Age of Pisces, the Age of I Believe.

Now in the the Age of Aquarius, the Age of “I know,” we can have direct experiences and knowledge of these Ghosts from the past. These egregors these Dwellers on the Threshold. We can see them for what they really are. Just old beliefs, forced upon us and held in place by those who have something to gain from them.

Now we can laugh at these beliefs, sidestep them and enter the Quantum Ocean of Creation unmolested and unafraid. This is just one gift given to us by the Age of Aquarius, Mind of God, Laws of Quantum Physics.

Rune Magic Talsimans

The world of Quantum Physics has opened a new and wider world paradigm for Rune Masters.

The idea that everything is energy, that everything is connected and that the Mind of Man can direct and project Runic Energy has been scientifically proven.

Runic Talismans are links, keys to the Universal Creative Energies that exist in the Quantum Ocean.

When a Rune Master creates a talisman for himself or another, when they wear it they energize it with their life force.

Runic talismans can be designed for any purpose for love, money, business, power, spiritual advancement, mental and physical capabilities and anything else you can think of.

The 18 Runes of the Armanen Futhork are the most powerful and you can use them singularly and in combination to create your own Runic Talismans.

<B>Runic Talismans are tools of power.</b>

As far back in history, as we can go, we find archaeological objects that proved to be talismans. Magic is as old as mankind and Runic Magic is as old as our Racial roots.

Most of the magic from the past was not put in a straight-jacket of rigid scientific principles. They did not have to prove that their magic worked. Many early magicians, both men and women, were killed or burnt at the stake due to religious controls against all forms of magic.

Now Quantum Physics has validated the scientific principles that magic works. You can create your Rune talismans now with the assurance that you will get your desired results.

We are now experiencing a surge in magical practices in this country. Talismanic Magic is becoming popular again. There is nothing supernatural to Runic Magic. It is based on Scientific Principles.

Early humans intuitively knew that they could combine Rune Symbols, plants, animal parts etc. for specific purposes such as love, wealth, health, success or protection.

The Talisman is a magnet that is designed to attract desired circumstances. A Talisman is also an amulet when used for protection purposes. It is a Talisman when used to attract energies and an amulet for protection.

Runic Talismans in combination with planetary symbols can act in a dual role as protectors or activators.

Once a Talisman receives it’s initial charge, it will become self charging and store the energy until the time when it is needed.

The charge of a Talisman seems to be infinite, provided that it receives a continuous supply of life force provided by the person carrying it.

Karl Welz’s Chi-Generators are another way to continuously charge your talismans.

Start Now! Start to make your own Rune Talismans today. You can start with pencil and paper. Visit my Runes, bind runes pages on this website.

Rune Lesson On Runic Shapes Which Are Vibrations

Rune – Lessons – Vibrations

The Age of Aquarius has given us the Laws of Quantum Physics. The Laws of Quantum Physics tell us that all is energy.

Energy is a vibration. The Runes are Vibrations. Your Physical Body is a configuration of enegies. The planet, Galaxy and Universe are all energies (Vibrations.)

The only true thing happening in the Universe is an infinite scale (up and down) of energies in Relationships.

The Runes are energies (vibrations.) They are the keys to the Creative Energies of the Universe.

The whole Key to Runic Study, simple to Say, not so simple to do is to create a Relationship between the Energies of the Runes and the Energies of your physical body.

The Energies of your Physical body can be summed up as your Aura.

What ever energies you carry in your Aura will attract people, places and events into your life.

It is called the law of Attraction, like attracts like. By choosing a particular Rune and bringing it’s energies (vibrations) into your Aura. you will attract the physical counterpart of the Rune.

IE, FA- Wealth, UR – Health, Thorn- Protection etc.

The actual Geometric outline of the Runes is a vibration. In fact all shapes give off vibrations.

The Shape of every Rune produces a force, a form and a function.

The Rune Thorn has the force of Protection, the Form of Thorn and the function to protect.

So it is with all the Runes.

Runic Yoga Body positions are also shape vibrations. By practicing Rune positions you attract the energies of the Runes into your Aura.

Practice standing in the position of the Rune Man. Become Conscious of the Runic Streams of energy entering your body through your left hand, flowing through your body and leaving through your right hand.

Do the same with the Rune YR.

Wait for specific visions and feelings and write them down in your magical diary.

Rune mantras are vibrational shapes also. Sit in your favorite chair and chant mantras of the Runes continuously for at least five minutes (The more the better.)

Use the Yoga Hand positions of the Runes and draw down the Rune energy though your hands while chanting.

While you are doing this expect the Runes to set in motion whatever it is you need to achieve your goals.

You can also practice Rune Yoga Body positions while lying on the floor.

The Key to attracting the power of the Runes is Practice, Practice, Practice.

Rune Wizard + Thor’s Hammer

I remember something one of my rune masters told me when I was studying. “Use your both eyes,” he said. “your 100 year eye on the present, and your 1000 year eye on the past, present and future together.”<P>

What he was saying is that life is continuous and nobody ever dies. The new Laws of Quantum Physics tell us that everything that is, was or ever will be exists in an infinite ocean called the quantum ocean.<P>

He was telling me from his deep well of knowledge that everything that I say and do not only affects my present life, but my future and even has the power to change the past. This is very deep and I still need many years of mediation and contemplation to fully understand his words.<P>

So at all times while you are learning and studying to be a rune wizard, keep reminding yourself why you and doing it and what you intend to achieve with these new powers. Also understand that these new powers that you will achieve hold grave consequences with them.<P>

The real purpose of life on the planet is to evolve. We Northern Europeans (like the Greeks and Romans before us) have a pantheon of gods and goddesses and we are to become more god like, like them. But we still have to handle our every day affairs and work hard to keep the culture of our ancestors alive for our grand children, especially in thees politically correct times.<P>

One of the most popular and powerful rune talisman’s you can use as a rune wizard is your Thor’s hammer.<P>

My wife Lory and I never leave home without them. We wear them around our necks on a leather thong. You can surf the net and buy one for yourself. Or better still carve a small one out of oak and drill a hole in it and wear it around your neck.<P>

The Laws of Quantum Physics are explaining many things to us. Everything is created by thought and energy. What ever energies we Carry in our auras attracts like energies form the physical world around us.<P>

By wearing your Thor’s Hammer when we go out we build a protective shield around our auras similar to Scotty’s (Star Trek) force filed shields.<P>

As a rune wizard you can use your Thor’s Hammer whoever you travel on this plane or another.<P>

The Thor’s Hammer will represent your consciousness to connect you to any point in space and them to return back to yourself. You can project it to any space-time continuum of your particular universe, that you will build in your own mind. Rune wizard work is 90% mental.<P>

It can be developed as a tool to break all self-imposed limitations of time and space. Time and space travel.<P>

Once you have your Thor’s Hammer activated in your aura it will perform many things for you. With repeated practice you will learn more and more about this most powerful tool of the rune wizard.<p>

Thor’s hammer is perhaps the best tool for conscious projection. It collects within itself the three elements of will ,mental and astral emotional energies. Once you have charged your hammer you can align these elements toward a specific purpose.<P>

All you will need to do is to throw Thor’s Hammer toward your goal which exists in the quantum ocean. Thor’s Hammers is your too that reaches beyond the confines of space and time. It is your instrument of power, your connection to your universe, your power of projecting into the universe whatever energies you charge the hammer with.<P>

Thor’s hammer therefore, is the most powerful of all runic talismans. You need to learn how to use it properly. The major part of your education will come from the hammer itself. just by wearing it and thinking and meditating upon it doors will open. Mimir’s Well will open to you.<P>

The spiritual parts and elements of your Thor’s Hammer will be directed with the powers of your imagination. The more you practice the more skillful you will become.
<P>
Get serious and stat your meditations, studying and practicing now.<P>

Ragnar Storyteller 21st Century Quantum Physics Runemaster

Who Is Ragnar Storyteller?

This is Ragnar Storyteller’s About Me page.

I teach and write about runes.

Before you embark on using the Runes for Rune Meditation, Rune Yoga, Rune Study, Rune Magic, or Bind rune Making, make sure that you know something about the person you are taking the instructions from.

Why? Runes are Universal Creative Energies and therefore very, very powerful. They were never meant for divination or writing. They were meant to CREATE.

Each individual Rune is a key to a very powerful energy. Don’t play around with them!

Ragnar Storyteller is my earned viking name because of all that I have written about Odin and the Vikings.

Ellis Peterson is my other name. I am a Swede. My ancestors are from Upsala. My father and grandfather are both viking beserkers. They would fight at the drop of a hat all the while biting on their tongues. My grandfather lost an arm when he fell off a 3 story roof while tarring it. That did not stop him. He would still go to the bar and when he was drunk pick a fight, even with one arm. I have their blood running through my veins.

They are both in Valhalla now. My grandfather was gassed in France in WWI. My father’s ship was torpedoed at the Battle of Midway in WWII. I followed in their footsteps and am a Korean War vet. At 70+ I fight with my mind and the runes. I fight for the Northern European culture that is being threatened by today’s politically correct world.

But I see now that we cannot protect our Northern European Heritage by fighting. These are not the times for that. So I am now choosing the Sword of the Mind to battle on for my kindred.

Being a greybeard I see things now a lot clearer that I did when younger. I see that man’s purpose on earth is to evolve. To become godlike, so said Nietzsche and others.

First of all, I am 70+, a retired math professor and electrical engineer. I am a radionics and orgone technology scientist and have made my own devices.

I am a Viking Skald and Rune master. I have been studying the runes for 25 years. I belonged to several well known Asatru Groups in Arizona. I ran an Asatru Prison Ministry where I communicated and sent free literature to over 700 viking inmates in jails and prisons. I wrote several books on Odin and Vikings. I have written over 200 articles and essays (many are on my websites.)

I run two successful websites.

And, I HAVE BEEN OUTLAWED BY SEVERAL ASATRU COMMUNITIES BECAUSE OF WHAT I WRITE.

What is it I write? I am the first Viking to try and bring the Runes and the gods/goddesses of our ancestors out of the dark ages of Viking raids and into the light of the 21st century.

I use the language and science of Radionics and Quantum Physics to do my rituals and blots.

The Godi’s of Arizona don’t like this.

I write for the individual Viking who wants to work from home and not join one of their organizations. They do not like this. I say that I have not met a Viking Godi with any power. They do not like this. I say we can no longer go into the woods and do blots and rituals out of outdated ritual books and ask the gods/goddesses to come down and help us. They don’t like this.

Why are they, and us at times, so childish to think that we have earned the right for the manifestation of a god or goddess into our lives? They don’t like this. Closed minds in any religion are dangerous.

Beside what would we do with the giant red bearded Thor if he were to manifest himself into our lives. He would be out of place just like axe or sword would be out of place on a modern field of battle.

Although we cannot manifest the God Thor into our lives, we can use the Science of Quantum Physics to attract the RUNIC POWERS OF THOR out of the Quantum Ocean and into our lives.

Gods do not do things for us. Thor will not protect us. But by attracting Thor’s energy out of the Quantum Ocean and into our lives we can protect ourselves. Same with all the energies of all the gods and goddesses.

I have been to many Asatru blots in the woods. I have never met a Godi who had any power to manifest a god/goddess of the North into our circle. Why? Because they do not have the runes inside of them. No power!

The runes are the key to the gods/goddesses. Each Rune is a key to a powerful energy and is associated with a god/goddess. So when you learn how to get the runic energies inside of you. You will not become Thor, but you will be Thor-like. You will have his energies and power.

I have never seen another viking site on the net that talks about bringing the runes and gods/goddesses into the 21st century. I told the Godi’s and self appointed leaders of the various Asatru groups what I thought and they marked me outlaw.

I told you that I never met a Godi (viking shaman) with power. But I have met Native American shamans with power. I spent a whole summer with a Cherokee Medicine Man, Willie Whitefeather, in the Arizona desert. He had power and I saw many of his manifestations.

He told me that real magic must be done alone and with proper preparation. Sweat lodges, vision quests and getting the spirit of what you wanted to do inside of you first.

He took me to Four Corners, Arizona and introduced me to the Grandfather, the 112 year old Hopi Shaman.

Talk about power. I was allowed to enter the sacred caves where the 3000 year old pictographs on the walls foretold of the arrival of Columbus and his three ships.

Why me? Willie said he could see my spirit and it was wise, powerful and true.

He named me Curious Bear because of the constant stream of questions I asked him and the Grandfather.

Because of my intrusion, I was chased down the Arizona Highway by Apache Warrior Spirits. You can read about it on one of my pages listed below.

Willie said that the whole massacre at Wounded Knee was all about power. The Native Americans were about to manifest the spirits of their great dead warriors to help them in their fight. The government knew all about their magic and power rituals so they slaughtered them all.

We have power and the power lies in our RUNES, not in outdated rituals.

I spent the last five years doing rune meditations, rune yoga, rune magic, rune rituals etc so that I could get the runic energies out of the quantum ocean , where ALL energy exists, and into my aura. Now I carry them around with me and use them when I need them.

I have written about these new methods in the 200 pages on this websites. They are different. They use the Laws of Quantum Physics, Radionics and the secrets of MENTAL MIND MAGIC, which is thousands of years old. All shamans, magicians, voodoo priests etc know about them.

There have always been enlightened men and women. They all say one thing in common using different words. There is a great medium of mind and intelligence that knows and does everything. This thinking intelligence will create whatever the mind of man thinks into it. This infinite thinking stuff is what is now called the Quantum Ocean.

The Runes are in this Quantum Ocean. Therefore the Runes and the Laws of Quantum Physics offer us the greatest challenge and the greatest hope for our children and grand children through peace. love, cooperation and creativity.

Not with the 1000 year old axe and sword, hate, war and prejudice.

We discovered the Runes, Quantum Physics and Radionics. Let’s use them. LET US OUT THINK THEM. Our Northern European minds are our greatest weapon.

I know that this site and the information on it is not for everyone. But I say this: if we do not update our magic and rituals so that they are in tune with the 21st century, then Asatru will go the way of all the other religions who will not change. It will die as they are dying. You can see it all around you.

THERE IS ONE GREAT LAW IN THE UNIVERSE. THOSE WHO IGNORE IT GO THE WAY OF THE DINOSAURS AND DODO BIRDS. EXTINCTION. THAT LAW IS:

“THE ONLY THING CONSTANT IN THE WHOLE UNIVERSE IS CHANGE”

Even Willie Whitefeather is helping his people incorporate change. What do you think the Casinos are?

We discovered the sciences of Quantum Physics and Radionics. They are now our weapons of defense.

I hope you enjoy what I write and have the patience to practice with the runes. If you do then you can change your life for the better and strengthen the ancestral soul of our peoples.

Let us use the Runes and our Minds and fulfill our destiny of becoming more Godlike

Rune Wizard Charms and Spells

Before you can start practicing being a Rune Wizard, you must pay your dues. The Magic is in the price that has been paid. And the price to pay is to gather all the knowledge you can about Rune Wizards past, present and future.

My message to you is this: We have entered the “Age of Aquarius” and will stay there for 2000 years. The Age of Pisces which created formal dogmatic religions is over. But like dinosaurs it will take a while before they are gone.

The Laws of Quantum Physics, which is one of the gifts of this new “Age of Aquarius” tells us that there exists an infinite Ocean of thinking, intelligent energy called the Quantum Ocean. Everything that ever was, is or will be exists there. The Runes, the Norse Gods/Goddesses, the Rune Wizards of old, Rune Spells, Rune Magic, Rune Rituals, etc. are all there. There is no time in the Quantum Ocean, only the NOW.

Our job is to bring the Runes, the Norse Gods/Goddesses, Spells, Chants, Rituals into the NOW, the 21st Century. Using the language of the “Laws of Quantum Physics”.

It is a big job, but it is an important one, for what we do here in the beginning of this Age of Aquarius will last 2000 years.

Charms, Chants, Rhymes, Invocations, Spoken Magic are all part of the tool kit belonging to the 21st Century Rune Wizard.

Let us look at some of the older established charms used quite frequently in the Viking Age. You will see how outdated the language and images are. It is our job to update them into modern language with modern images.

His is a charm that protects against Magical attacks and Evil beings.

“Trotter-Head, I forbid you my house and Land I forbid you my house and cow stable I forbid you my bedstead, that you may not breathe on me. Breathe into some other home, until you have ascended every hill until you have counted every fence post and crossed every water, so I charge you in the names of Odin, Thor and Frey.”

Trotter-Head, was a slang term used for a Troll or Jotun.

We do not have to protect ourselves from Trolls but what about the TV, the subliminal messages, the cell towers, and Elf towers. What about all the harmful vibrations being constantly being sent to us and our children 24/7?

We need protection from these “Trotter-Heads!.” Work one for yourself and your family.

Look at the following magical protective spell. Notice that it covers everything and leaves no loose ends or openings for error or misinterpretation.

“Thor, do protect me against all weapons, long or short, of any metal. Keep their Fire as Moljinir kept it’s fire before and after being made. Thor binds all arms as he has bound himself with his belt of strength. Thor renders harmless like unto Jord, who is herself harmless. Thor protect me against being killed and against burning fires. Do no let me be killed or cursed. May all the Aesir and Vanir, Alfs and Diser, Vaetter and Nisse assist me in this.”

Again the language and images are antiquated. Now the enemies are mental, psychic and subliminal.

The task is yours to protect yourself and your family from the evils of the 21st century. If you do not stop these harmful mental and subliminal energies from harming your children, no one else will.

Capsule Robo Mecha Bombie

A combat robot for King Bombie. It can be bought and sold at the "Robot Research Institute", and the price will increase depending on the number of years of play.Challenge the battle before the evil deeds of King Bombie are activated every turn, and if you win, King Bombie will return to the poor god, and the poor god will not do evil deeds that turn. [Note 39] ..The battle is fully automatic, and the side that hits the first three attacks wins (the health gauge is displayed after "DX", and one shot = 3 damage notation after "HAPPY"). Only one robot can be dispatched in one turn.If you lose, it will be destroyed and King Bombie will do evil as usual.

In "III", you invest up to 1 billion yen in units of 99 million yen, and when the investment amount reaches the price of Mecha Bomby, you will buy it, but you can not sell it. In "11" and "12", there are attacks that deal 200 points of damage to all robots.Only one player can own four "III", five "DX"-"V", three "X", and one for "1" and "4".The original story was made to counter GodzillaMechagodzilla.

The theme songs for the battle with King Bombie are "III"-"X" is an arrangement of the battle songs of "Momotaro Densetsu", "The Greatest Battle in History" (composed by Kazuyuki Sekiguchi), and "11" and "12" are " Fight! Mecha Bombie "(composed by Takeshi Ike).

  • Petit Cannon GunAttack with. In "11" and "12", "Olympus Meteor Bullet" doubles the damage. The weakest of all capsule robots. The winning percentage is 2 / 1-32 / 1 depending on the work. Abolished in "USA".The dialogue at the time of the attack is "Petit! Petit!".
  • B roller Attack by ramming (normal attack is "Azechoran!").The winning percentage is 1 / 16-1 / 4 depending on the work. Abolished with "X".The line at the time of the attack is "Chagarahagara!".

Abolished in "USA".The dialogue at the time of the attack was "Mecha Bomby RX! Powerful Cell! King Bombie Taos!".

On the other hand, on the King Bombie side, there is a technique "Galactica Bonbeam" that doubles the power with the normal attacks "Bonbeam", "11" and "12".

As the bodies pile up, anger will grow

The Stockholm Syndrome is a mental disorder where hostages or abductees develop a bond with their
abductors, coming to sympathize or agree with them. It was first coined after a bank robbery in
Stockholm in 1973, but it soon became more widely used for Patty Hearst, who allegedly joined those
who kidnapped her in 1974. The Hearst event was a big fake, of course, but the Stockholm Syndrome
is a real thing, as we now know firsthand with the manufactured Covid crisis. The textbooks tell us the
syndrome is rare, with only 5% of hostages falling to it, but that percentage hasn&rsquot panned out in the
past year, where we have seen 60-80% exhibiting some signs of it.

I say this because you have been hostage to this fake crisis and those who staged it. A majority still
are, as we are seeing this week here in New Mexico. As you may know, the CDC dropped its mask
mandate for vaccinated people last Thursday, and our Governor immediately dropped the mandate
statewide. Stores are no longer required to enforce the wearing of masks for anyone, vaccinated or not,
and most no longer are, including the food markets and big box stores. Their employees are still
wearing them, for reasons unknown, but customers are not required to. HOWEVER, ALMOST ALL
CUSTOMERS ARE CONTINUING TO WEAR MASKS ANYWAY.

I have celebrated by going on a shopping spree, not really buying much, but just going store to store
maskless for the fun of it. I am the only one in most stores without a mask.

How could this be? It would be like opening all the doors in a jail and telling the inmates they are free,
but finding they still prefer to huddle in their cells for safety. You say people are still afraid of the bug.
The TV has got them believing that the unvaccinated like me are a danger to them, so they have to
continue to be cautious. But I don&rsquot believe that is what is going on. It can&rsquot be, because it makes no
sense. If the vaccine works&mdashand we are assured is it something like 97% effective (same as condoms,
by the way)&mdashthen the vaccinated have nothing to fear from the unvaccinated. Since most people got
where they are by listening to and believing the mainstream news, they should believe that. Well, if
they believe it, they should be joyfully removing their masks now, no matter what the unvaccinated
choose to do. Since more than 50% are vaccinated here, we should see 50% not wearing masks in
stores. Instead, we see less than 1%.

I think what we have here is the continuation of a mass Stockholm Syndrome event, with most people
adopting the psychology of their captors. Rachel Maddow at MSNBC admitted it: she said her brain
would have to be rewired to not look on the maskless as sick and dangerous. Since the majority of
people have successfully had their brain wired by TV, only TV can rewire them, and that will take
time. It will take a period of brainwashing in the other direction, and that stage in history has not been
entered yet. So most people cannot break their bonds on their own. They will need months of therapy
to get back to 2019 levels of the syndrome.

Only the few like me who were unhypnotizable from the start can take off the mask with no trauma. I
have hated my captors all along, and hate them more now than ever. I never even bought a mask, using
only a bandana in direst need, and I have no attachment to it, I assure you. But I think most people are
going to be dizzy from over-oxygenation for a while. Their brains have been used to surviving on the
oxygen levels of an alien moon, and will have to re-adjust to normal levels.

I am already back to normal, since I never left normal. But I hate to say that I think with most people,
normal may never return. Not for the reasons given by the mainstream media, but for other reasons
entirely. They have allowed themselves to be permanently scarred by this, simply by offering too little
resistance to it. They can never look at themselves in the old ways again, because they can no longer
pretend they are the rebels or freethinkers they thought they were.

That &ldquoquestion authority&rdquo bumper sticker is off the car and can never go back on. All the woke liberals are finding out, or will soon find
out, that they were neither woke nor liberal. This past year has been a worldwide test, and the failure
levels were massive. Under pressure, we saw an amazing thing: the liberals acted conservative and the
conservatives acted liberal. Meaning, the so-called left side of American politics utterly caved to
fascism. They have loudly embraced censorship, speech limitations, and authoritarian dictats, and the
main reason they did so, beyond being brainwashed under this Stockholm Syndrome, is that they
enjoyed being petty tyrants, following illogical and ad hoc rules and enforcing them on others. It gave
them a faux-power they had not been able to earn by genuine means, and it went to their tiny heads.
So they will have to learn to live with that for the rest of their lives. They will have to adjust their self
images accordingly. But I predict that, rather than do that, they will simply huddle with those of their
own sect. They can&rsquot really socialize with us anymore, since we have their number. In future, in just
about any discussion, when push comes to shove, all we have to do is say something like, &ldquowait,
weren&rsquot you one of the ones who thought masks and vaccines were a good idea? Weren&rsquot you one of the
ones who trusted WHO and the CDC and the NIH and Fauci? Weren&rsquot you one of the ones cheering
when Trump&mdashas standing President&mdashgot censored by Twitter and Facebook? Weren&rsquot you one of the
ones who permanently damaged your children with masks, while pigheadedly claiming we were the
dangerous ones? Weren&rsquot you one of the ones whose friends, neighbors, and family members dropped
dead of the vaccine, or were maimed by it, while you stood by and cheerled for it? Weren&rsquot you one of
the ones who used to tell us what a great philanthropist and humanitarian Bill Gates was?

Which means your judgment is not worth sour apples&rdquo. These people could eat humble pie
for a while, and issue a blanket apology to the rest of us, but I don&rsquot think they are up to it. I predict
they will find some way to dive into a deeper pit of denial, trying to keep some shred of self-worth by
externalizing all negatives. They will find some twisted way of confirming that they were right and we
were wrong, despite all evidence to the contrary. In short, they will take refuge in that most disgusting
and debilitating of human frailties: hating those who were right, only because they were right.
I have been ostracized my entire life for that reason, so I know it well. In fact, I venture to say that I
know it more deeply and profoundly than anyone alive. There was a time when I only experienced it
personally, face to face, in real life, but since I have become a presence online, I have had to deal with
it on a worldwide scale. So I got my views on human psychology not from textbooks, but by vast
experience. In the art and science and history wars, I have come to know my enemy almost as well as
myself, and the report I must file on him is not pretty. If I ever expected a fair fight or an honest
opposition or any level of sophistication or elevation, I have been sorely disappointed. For this reason,
I have very little expectation that anyone will treat Covid as a learning experience, or will have learned
anything from it. In general, most people have an aversion to learning that is nearly unquenchable.
But if anyone should arrive here serendipitously from some dark place of soul, having decided to
reform his formerly dastardly ways, I tell you your conversion is welcome. As I have said before&mdashand
it is true&mdashI am a bear only in opposition. And I think this is true of most like me. Once the gloves are
off, we are only teddy bears, and we prefer to get along. As most of my readers will confirm, if you
come to me in friendship, I am cuddly enough. And if you catch me out of email, I am ten times as
cuddly from the start.

Which just goes to say that those who decide to learn something from this formidable crisis we have all
passed through&mdashother than what they have been force-taught by the mainstream&mdashwill find those like
me welcoming enough. Those who really wish to break the bonds to their captors will find us ready
with the shears. But those who prefer going on as before will find us more ferocious than ever. I tell
you we are through with all that forever.

Which brings us back to the Stockholm Syndrome, to take this full circle. What the &ldquoexperts&rdquo never tell
you is why captives would sympathize with their own captors. After the Covid event, we can now
answer that: the power the captors have is hypnotizing by itself. The captors are in charge, and the
captives are powerless. Power acts as authority, and the captives instinctively bow to it. It is like baby
animals imprinting. They can&rsquot help following the only larger being in sight who seems to have power.
It would appear that a great majority of people can&rsquot help but fall down in abject submission before any
authority that presents itself, no matter how transparently irrational, illogical, or evil, and this is what
the governors rely upon. Nothing short of that can explain the past year, or indeed all of human
history.

So where exactly is the hope in that? If this is an instinct, how can it be changed? How is there any
hope of revolution, or even of progress? Because species evolve, and under duress they evolve faster.
Under the pressure of catastrophic change, Nature can and often has exhibited almost overnight
conversion. And the human species is especially open to change, and especially of a psychological
change of this sort, since we are the only self-reflective species. We are the only rational creatures we
know of, capable of thinking ourselves out of such a situation. You will say we have never done it
before as a society and don&rsquot look like doing it now, which is true. But the future is not determined by
the past, and the important point is that we could do it. This is not a guess, because some of us have
already done it. Some of us have already evolved to the next level, which is why the governors are in
such a tizzy. They see evolution outpacing their tired old schemes.

Why do you think they keep making films like X-Men, about mutants? Because WE are the mutants. We have already mutated
into a creature they cannot control with the old lies. To answer this, they turn up the pressure even
more, but that backfires because it is the same as catastrophic change: it is the pressure that is causing
the mutations, so they cannot solve this with more change, more pressure, or more chaos. Ironically,
they are seeding their own destruction. Everything they do to contain this just makes it worse.
The year 2020 was the most catastrophic in recent history, with far more psychological pressure
applied to the general population than even during the world wars. The world wars were stressful, but
people still knew their places during those decades. The governmental response was cohesive and the
enemy was clear and mostly defined. But that isn&rsquot the case anymore. Psychologically the past year
has been far more catastrophic, and we can see that just by consulting the polls. During the wars,
people&rsquos trust in the media went UP. Patriotism went UP. Right now, trust in government and media is
at an all-time low, by a huge margin. People are asking questions they have never asked in the history
of this country. And patriotism, defined as solidarity with the current regime, is also near zero.

Yes, we have some patriots left, but they aren&rsquot itching to defend the status quo or the current rulers, they are
patriotic only about the Constitution or some bygone time that never actually existed. They are
patriotic about the IDEA of America, not the actuality of it. Most patriots wouldn&rsquot lift a finger to
protect the current regime, in any of its forms. Technically, they aren&rsquot patriots at all, but
revolutionaries, which is why the current regime treats them as such. The government and military is
now defining all such patriots as domestic extremists, which is the usual flip. It is the government and
military which has become extreme in its contempt for law, truth, and the welfare of its own citizens. It
declared war on us long ago, with that declaration becoming louder and more transparent with each
passing year. An ever-growing portion of its budget is devoted to destabilizing us, confusing us, and
manufacturing widespread fear and panic.

And where is the hope there? The hope is in the fact that none of that would be necessary if we weren&rsquot
waking up. If the revolution were not proceeding, there would be no reason to try to squelch it with
such outrageous measures. The response is proof of the advance.

You can also think of it this way: the manufactured chaos of 1960s&mdashas in Projects Chaos and
Cointelpro&mdashhas led inexorably to real chaos. Although those projects looked very successful in the
short term, they have turned out to be disastrous in the longterm, since government was originally
about CONTROL. Military Intelligence, old style, was about containment and control. Chaos was the
enemy, for obvious reasons. But, bored by the 1950s, the top dogs in Intel in the 1960s were itching
for something new. They were like the mathematicians of the 1820s (see Bolyai, Gauss and
Lobachevsky), who were bored with the history of Euclidean math. They wanted something new at all
costs. We can also compare them to artists in the early part of the 20th century, who turned art history
on its head, destroying all rules and inverting the entire field, mostly from boredom. Well, the flipping
of Intel was the same sort of capricious miscalculation, and it has led us to the same dead end. Worse
than a dead end really, since in this case it has guaranteed precisely the revolution they had hoped to
contain. As you now see, Intelligence was trying to forestall a revolution in society by becoming
revolutionary itself. It ditched all the old rules of engagement, replacing them with their opposites. It
would manufacture chaos in order to ward off chaos. It would pre-empt real events with scripted
events.

But as always happens with such schemes, it has gotten its scarf caught in the wheels. It has been
hoisted on its own petard. Obviously, it is not possible to avoid chaos by purposely spreading it. By its
very nature, chaos has an uncanny way of breaking its channels. Like everything else, Intelligence
would have been better off sticking to its old definitions, which had been proved by long usage.
Euclidean math didn&rsquot rule for 2100 years by accident. Classical art didn&rsquot rule for just as long by

Whether or not the current rulers like my analysis, they must admit we are just one spark away from all
hell breaking loose, and it may not be the spark or the hell they have planned. They think that with all
the money in the world, their safe places are impregnable, but that is assuming the armies remain loyal.
I see no proof of that assumption. They must not be too sure of it themselves, or they wouldn&rsquot now be
purging the military. But I have news for them: if you have reached the point of having to purge your
military, you are in serious serious trouble.

This Covid fake has the same potential to spark mass rebellion. It already has, as we see from the
numbers refusing the vaccine: something on the order of 40%, at the least. Even 50% of CDC and NIH
workers are refusing it, which is an astonishing statistic. But that rebellion could get far larger very
fast, especially if the vaccine keeps killing and maiming people. As the bodies continue to pile up, the
anger will grow. As the truth continues to leak, the anger will grow. Bill Gates should quit buying
land and start using his money to fund a private army. I think he is going to need it. The Bushes used
to joke that if people ever figured out what they were up to, they would be swinging from the nearest
lamp post. It may come to that, since people are figuring it out.

We have been hearing reports from France that both generals and top police are warning a civil war
may be imminent there. I will tell you what I think of that. I believe many countries are on the brink
of open rebellion, but the governors and generals are hoping to turn that rebellion into civil war. That&rsquos
right, they want civil war, because it beats the alternative. By civil war, they mean we will be fighting
one another, as in red versus blue, or the French equivalent. Liberal versus conservative, black versus
white, man versus woman. That is why they have been pushing those divisions so hard recently. They
want us to target one another, instead of them. They want a civil war rather than revolution. But I
suggest you don&rsquot oblige them. Walk around all of their suggestions and divisions and ally against the
real enemy. It isn&rsquot your fellow citizen, of whatever color, sex, or affiliation.

Before Covid, I often said that the Phoenician Navy could avoid destruction by backing slowly away
and reversing course, but I am no longer sure that is an option.

After the events of the past year and their incredible crimes against humanity, who believes any longer that these people can change, even to
save themselves? Free will being an absolute, it is still remotely possible they could do so, but Nature
is also inexorable, and she may have something else in store for them, no matter what they decide to
do. For her, revolution is no inconvenience: turning the oceans over and inverting mountains is just
another day for her. If the Phoenicians think they are turtles that strike slowly but hard, they are
nothing to Nature. She has crushed more successful races than the Phoenicians without a blink of her
lidless eye. And just remember this: she created mutants like us, and she does nothing to no purpose.

What’s New About The New Atheism?
Victor Stenger answers the question.

If religions restricted their activities to home, church, synagogue or mosque, atheists would have no legitimate complaints. The problem is, religion is everywhere. If any event triggered the New Atheist attitude it was 9/11. Some commentators have tried to explain this tragic event in terms of social causes, such as the perceived American oppression of Muslim nations. However, a reading of the final instructions Mohammed Atta gave to his team leaves little doubt that it was religion which motivated them as they flew those planes into those buildings.

On the other hand, come on, would not someone who genuinely believed in a God, the God, my God, not rationalize any and all behaviors in the name of God? Think about it: If what you do here and now is judged by God as the only way in which you can attain immortality and salvation there and then, would not attempts to water down the Scripture be deemed sacrilegious? And rightfully. After all, if others do not join you in worshipping and adoring the one true God [yours] are they not inherently a danger? Could they not, perhaps, corrupt your own youth by touting the false God? Or No God.

Either my religion does revolve around the real me [my soul] in sync with the right thing to do [the will of God], or I can never really be certain how to achieve immortality and salvation.

That assessment of religion has always seemed to be the most reasonable one to me. And, again, precisely because of all that is at stake here if you get it wrong. That's why based on my own experience with religious men and women over the years, many might have professed to have faith in God, but that's not really what they believed at all. It's not faith, it's certainty.

And, if believing that human existence is not just an essentially meaningless trek to oblivion, the closer you get to certainty, the more comforted and consoled that you are.

That is clearly the aim of any number of evangelicals here. But I wouldn't call this faith. On the contrary, the attempts to politicize religion seems to revolve almost entirely around the absolute certainty that Jesus is coming back. And thus that God must exist.

And while folks like Trump and his crony capitalist ilk will merely mold and manipulate them into sustaining their own "show me the money" rendition of nihilism, all that really matters in the end is the extent to which they can sustain it. Perhaps all the way to fascism itself.

What’s New About The New Atheism?
Victor Stenger answers the question.

Faith is belief in the absence of empirical evidence, and often in the face of contrary evidence. The position of the New Atheists is that faith is the force behind both the malevolent deeds of extremist religious groups and the irrational acts of many political leaders. To act on the basis of faith can often be to act in conflict with reason. We New Atheists claim that to do so is immoral, and dangerous to society.

Again, in my view, it's not really faith we are dealing with in regard to most "God world" folks. Or, rather, in all my years of interacting with them [from both sides] it wasn't. It is all but rock solid belief that there is a God, the God. And that of necessity it was/is their own God.

Now, I'm sure in times of travail, doubts crept in for some. And I've known a few who, like me, pulled out of it completely. But must were way beyond faith. Especially when they are willing to divide the world up [politically] between the righteous and infidels.

And that's where the danger lies. In objectivism linked to God linked to an authoritarian political agenda. Up to and including the theocrats. And, up to a point, even to those secularists who treat one or another ideology or humanism as the equivalent of religion.

On the other hand, the argument goes, are not the New Atheists more or less in the same boat? Only their own understanding of God and religion is allowed to prevail in any particular discussion. Here, there, everywhere.

Sure, go ahead, challenge it. But the bottom line never goes away: moral nihilism and oblivion. Or, yeah, my own bottom line anyway. Ever and always the atheists [old and new] are stuck there. They somehow have to convince the faithful and the true believers to abandon all hope of immortality and salvation. And to abandon all attempts to propound a moral agenda that can never be more than one or another hopelessly tangled/problematic rendition of "moderation, negotiation and compromise".

Unless, of course, as with folks like Sam Harris, you actually attempt to connect the dots between morality and science. And how is that not for all practical purposes pretty much the same thing? Okay, you won't go to Heaven for doing the right thing "down here", but at least science is there to tell you what all rational and virtuous folks are obligated to choose in regards to, say, abortion?

Clearly, taking into account the actual social, political and economic "situation" in which suggestions like this might be pertinent, the arguments that I raise don't go away.

Or, perhaps, not so clearly at all? Well, all I can do here is to hear out those who see it all differently. And hope that those who still have faith in or firmly believe in God are willing to explore how that impacts the behaviors that they do choose in regard to conflicting goods "out in the world".

As I noted previously, whether in regard to an actual religious denomination or to any other "spiritual" path, the aim of this thread is to explore the manner in which those who espouse either connect the dots existentially between the behaviors they choose on this side of the grave and what they believe the fate of "I" will be on the other side of it.

How do you understand Dharma and how is it pertinent to the behaviors that you choose insofar as you understand the relationship between morality here and now and immortality there and then.

What’s New About The New Atheism?
Victor Stenger answers the question.

Attacking the New Atheism

To give a taste of the typical criticism of the New Atheists by professed atheists, let us consider the views of atheist philosopher Ron Aronson from his book Living Without God (2008). Aronson is critical of the New Atheists for not providing secularists with an alternative to God to believe in: they only provide a denial of God, and nothing to compare with what he calls the ‘coherence’ of religious belief:

“Our religious friends affirm their belief in the coherence of the universe and the world, their deep sense of belonging to it and to a human community, their refusal to be stymied by the limits of knowledge, their confidence in dealing with life’s mysteries and uncertainties, their willingness to take complete responsibility for the small things while leaving forces beyond themselves in charge of the large ones, their security in knowing right from wrong, and perhaps above all, their sense of hope about the future… Even if we would reject these beliefs as unfounded and irrational, we have to be struck by their force. And envy their coherence… Besides disbelief, what do we have to offer? What should we tell our children and grandchildren as we see them swept up in a pervasively religious environment?” (p.17)

Or, rather, the word that pops into my own head in reacting to "critiques" of this sort.

Does this or does this not sum up succinctly -- for most, compellingly -- why religion is still embraced by the preponderance of human beings around the globe. This is precisely the mindset that a leap of faith can provide members of the flock.

And one reason that atheists -- old or new -- often fail to break it down is precisely because there is no secular alternative to God. None, in any event, that comes even close to providing the same measure of comfort and consolation.

Not only that but historically there have been any number of secular alternatives that have revolved around such things as survival of the fittest, political ideology, scientism, nihilism and the like. And, ironically enough, these folks have often succeeded in bringing about only greater human pain and suffering.

And then the part about oblivion to boot.

Nope. From my frame of mind the only possible way to construe "the best of all possible worlds" sans God is in one or another political manifestation of moderation, negotiation and compromise. And look at all the turmoil that ever and always brings with it.

Not to mention the fractured and fragmented personalities like mine.

But of course Dharma sprang from other, previous, geo-political concepts, all of which precede indigenous Indic religions.. religions having adopted Them. Chicken/egg / politics/religion dichotomy, solved.. for India anyway.

(in Buddhism) the nature of reality regarded as a universal truth taught by the Buddha the teaching of Buddhism.

an aspect of truth or reality.

How do you understand Dharma and how is it pertinent to the behaviors that you choose insofar as you understand the relationship between morality here and now and immortality there and then.

What’s New About The New Atheism?
Victor Stenger answers the question.

Again, as soon as you take words of this sort out into the world of human interactions, the very meaning of the word coherent itself when made applicable to the behaviors we choose becomes increasingly more problematic. Believe in a particular God in a particular way and almost anything can be rationalized as intelligent, rational, sound.

Same with any number of secular beliefs. Interpret a political ideology or an assessment of nature to mean [and only to mean] either this or that and everyone becomes fair game: sexism, heterosexism racism, ethnocentrism.

All one needs here is the font.

On the other hand -- and for all practical purposes -- that is at least an answer. And it is one more than the atheists [old or new] have. They also have other "answers": the Devil, free will, human evil. The point being to have an answer. In other words, when the alternative is an essentially meaningless existence, senseless suffering and oblivion.

This however is [to me] just another "world of words" in a philosophy magazine. Actual religionists across time historically and across the globe culturally, are able to construct and then reconstruct all manner of complex rationalizations able to make their actual lived sense of reality far more sophisticated. Given, among other things, the very different lives they have to work from.

Still, the true believer is able to convince herself that whatever God's purpose might be in taking a loved one from her, the loved one is now with God as, in time, she will be too. And given how easy it can be for mere mortals to rationalize their behaviors, the fear of God for many is anything but “constant”. For some, you confess your sins, are forgiven, and go about the business of rationalizing more behaviors still. Between treks to the church on the Sabbath.

The behaviours I choose in life, are not based on my thoughts of the resulting consequences in my demise.. why do you ponder on the resultant aspect so?

Even at the height of my allergy-induced illness, the only time such thoughts ever crossed my mind was when my health would dip dangerously low to the point of forcing my mind to ‘go there’ ..but otherwise I didn’t and don’t, so why does yours constantly do?

Well, as I have noted time and again, I created this thread because my own fractured and fragmented "self" is unable to move much beyond human identity as the embodiment of "I" reflecting political prejudices rooted in dasein as an existential contraption. Why? Because I speculate further that in a No God world, human existence appears to me to be but an essentially meaningless trek from the cradle to the grave. Ending in oblivion.

On the other hand, those who choose God and/or religion as a font onto/into which they can anchor "I", think about these things very differently.

So, this thread was created in order for them to note just how differently they think about them.

If, however, connecting the dots existentially between morality here and now and immortality there and then is of little or no interest to you, I'd suggest you not participate in the discussions here. Because that is invariably what I will tug the exchanges back to.

What’s New About The New Atheism?
Victor Stenger answers the question.

Talk about an existential contraption. Talk about needing an actual context.

Sure, if your life is bursting with all manner satisfaction and fulfillment. If you are young and healthy and a million miles away from death. If you are in fact reveling in the freedom to think your own thoughts, to live your own life on your own terms, God and religion can be shunted off to the back burner.

But let things start to crumble and the diagnosis be terminal and what's all that vaunted freedom mean then? It's not for nothing that most churches attract the old and the infirm. When meaning in your life sinks down into the circumstantial hole that you are now in and the only alternative is oblivion, being a freedom loving atheist can itself be of little consolation.

As though this sort of "rational assessment" actually sinks in with those who recognize God and religion basically as an embodiment of Pascal's wager. It just depends on how conscious one is that this is all it is. A leap of faith. A leap that really is just that: a leap of faith .

Again, and that's before we get to the part that Marx preferred tp stress. God used as a political devise to sustain the interest of the rich and powerful. "Keep them doped with religion" as John Lennon once assessed it.

And any number of children in any number of communities around the globe continue to be indoctrinated to sustain a belief in one or another religious dogma. And, in part, because science and the secularists still have nothing even remotely as comforting for the kids as morality here and now and immortality there and then.

What’s New About The New Atheism?
Victor Stenger answers the question.

Not all of those theists who disagree with the New Atheism have questioned the validity of science or the scientific method. Rather they claim that the scientific evidence supports their beliefs. Virtually all their arguments take the form of ‘God of the gaps’ arguments, as follows: “I cannot see how [this phenomenon] could have happened naturally. Thus it must have happened supernaturally.” For example, in his bestseller The Language of God (2006), geneticist Francis Collins, who was the administrator of the human genome project and who now heads the US National Institutes of Health, says this about the origin of the universe: “I cannot possibly see how nature could have created itself. Only a supernatural force that is outside of space and time could have done that.”

Let's face it, given the gap between what we think we know about the ontological explanation for existence itself and all there is to be known, a God/the God is certainly one possible explanation.

And it is the existence of the gap itself that allows us to "think up" any number of possible solutions. And the beauty of situations like this is that all one need do is to believe that what one thinks up [or others think up for you] is true.

And nature here may as well be another God. At least when it comes to its creation. How can the world around us not exist and then exist? Or is it more mind-boggling still to insist that it has always existed?

On the other hand, can't mere mortals be just as ignorant about the creator being God? For me it always comes down to that most profound antinomy of all: Why something and not nothing? Why this something and not something else? Let's face it, this may well be beyond the capacity of the human mind [given its evolution to date] to even grasp. Or the attempts to grasp it may well be just an inherent/necessary manifestation of nature/God itself.

On the other other hand, given human autonomy, scientists at least work with the world around us: experientially, experimentally: phenomenally.

Still, the bottom line is that science to date is not able to calibrate "the final solution". At least not to my knowledge. That they embrace the quest empirically may allow them to speak more substantively, but that ultimate gap between what they know now and all that there is to be known doesn't go away.

And, again, this is all in relationship to "things as they are" in the either/or world. Most scientists [in their fields] are still averse to connecting the dots between what is and what ought to be -- morally, politically, spiritually. Even political "science" is must contend with dasein, conflicting goods and wealth and power.

But why are you fractured and fragmented? What happened, that made you so and took you there?

Can you not think or feel beyond that fractured and fragmented state of self?

On the other hand, those who choose God and/or religion as a font onto/into which they can anchor "I", think about these things very differently.

So, this thread was created in order for them to note just how differently they think about them.

Yes.. even as a (non-practising) RC, since birth, I am subconsciously tethered to that Faith, whether I like it or not. It played a major part in forming Me, my thoughts and feelings, and probably still does, well.. I guess it does.

Iam said: “human existence appears to me to be but an essentially meaningless trek from the cradle to the grave. Ending in oblivion.“

Is that how you have lived your life? Did you not yearn to or seek out, anything otherwise and contrary to that?

Religion gives lives purpose and meaning, gained from being a part of That community, so perhaps that is the aspect you have noticed missing from your own life, that of belonging to a forming concept of self, so all you see is the end/oblivion/demise, where I instead see a continuation of I to where I am now and will be tomorrow onwards.

Have you ever sat in the back of a church, just to experience the experience?

If, however, connecting the dots existentially between morality here and now and immortality there and then is of little or no interest to you, I'd suggest you not participate in the discussions here. Because that is invariably what I will tug the exchanges back to.

Morality/immortality? Taking the sacraments I guess, to seal the deal with One’s god.. ensuring a person their rightful place in heaven, sitting on the right hand side of Their god. That’s the primary reason for religion.. following the rites and passages of your extended (religious) clan.

Dharma, rta, rights.. not so much a solely religious thing as a societal one, initially spread through clans or faith-based systems.. before the advent of mainstream State-ran societies and metropolises.

Do you dharma? I don’t mind if I do..

Over and again, I have made attempts to explain this. Encompassed in particular on this thread: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=194382

Here in regard to abortion.

So, let me ask you this: In regard to your own views on abortion, how are you not "fractured and fragmented"? Because clearly the moral and political objectivists among us [left and right] have managed to think themselves into believing they are in touch with the "real me" in sync with the "right thing -- the only thing -- to do." And then most religious folks among us connect this dot to the one that encompasses Judgment Day. Because they did the right thing in the course of living their life on this side of the grave, God grants them access to immortality and salvation on the other side.

Right? Isn't that how "for all practical purposes" it works?

Sure: In my interactions with others in the either/or world.

Nope, not always. I was once myself a committed Christian. And, after "transcending" religion as a result of my experiences and relationships in Vietnam, I embraced any number of secular/political renditions of objectivism: Communism, Marxism, Trotskyism, social democracy, democratic socialism. Then came William Barrett, "rival goods", existentialism, deconstruction, semiotics, nihilism, moral nihilism.

Okay, but from my frame of mind, this is religion as an "intellectual contraption". Which was basically the manner in which I reacted to Zinnat's posts way back when. Instead, the aim of this thread is to bring words like that out into the world of actual human interactions. In particular, interactions that revolve around conflicting goods in which various religious denomination have their own "scriptures" which very much connect the dots between morality here and now and immortality there and then. These are the discussions I am interested in pursuing.

If, however, connecting the dots existentially between morality here and now and immortality there and then is of little or no interest to you, I'd suggest you not participate in the discussions here. Because that is invariably what I will tug the exchanges back to.

Yes. Only my interest on this tread is in reconfiguring that into discussions of actual chosen behaviors in particular contexts in which individuals "think through" morality and immortality in a philosophy venue. How are these "idea/ideality" dots connected existentially by individuals in the course of living their lives from day to day.

Dharma here [to me] is just another word that particular individuals come into contact with enabling some to embody it in lives that sustain meaning and purpose that sustains emotional and psychological comfort and consolation.

Here, for them, dasein doesn't enter into it at all. And why would they want it to? After all, for me, dasein has become the source for my fractured and fragmented "person"ality in the world of value judgments and mortality.

What’s New About The New Atheism?
Victor Stenger answers the question.

Religious extremists in America have tried to argue that atheism and secularism would destroy the foundations of society. Televangelist Pat Robertson has asserted that when a society is without religion “the result will be tyranny.” In her bestseller Godless (2006), conservative writer Ann Coulter says societies that fail to grasp God’s significance are headed toward slavery, genocide and bestiality. She also asserts that when evolution is widely socially accepted, all morality is abandoned. Influential television commentator Bill O’Reilly has said that a society which fails to live ‘under God’ will be a society of “anarchy and crime” where “lawbreakers are allowed to run wild.” (Culture Warrior, 2006, p.19) British cleric and theologian Keith Ward has argued that societies lacking strong religious beliefs are immoral, unfree and irrational. Philosopher John D. Caputo declared that people who are without religion and who do not love God are nothing more than selfish louts, implying that a society with a preponderance of Godless people would be a loveless, miserable place.

Let's face it, from the far left to the far right on the political spectrum, the best of all possible No God worlds will miraculously reflect the political prejudices of whichever ideological narrative you prefer.

But the point made by the more conservative advocates above is not at all unreasonable. Once God is taken out of the picture, mere mortals are more than capable of bringing about a world like, well, the one we live in now.

Is or is not the planet we live on owned and operated by those who eschew God and place all their eggs in the dog eat dog capitalist basket? The tyranny of capital for those who govern us by way of one or another rendition of "show me the money"?

As for secular ideology and morality? How about the 20th Century? Fascism on the right, Communism on the left. Let the dogmatic debates begin. Here for example: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=195888

Only here the squabbling tends to revolve more around genes vs. memes. Still, objectivism with or without God, embedded in either nature or nurture, the results are the same: one of us versus one of them.

On the other hand, when politics is involved, there is no getting around what is a stake: our actual lives.

Still, the world seems ever to be sustained by those who bet on God, those who bet on Reason and those bet on bank accounts. Not many folks here are "fractured and fragmented".

Maybe, but conflicting goods going back to the pre-Socratics are no closer to being resolved. Instead, religious and secular objectivism has given way to democracy and the rule of law as [perhaps] the best of all possible worlds. Moderation, negotiation and compromise. Particularly in regard to many "social issues". God is still around of course but most citizens are likely to embrace one of another rendition of "separation of church and state".

Though there is always the danger that authoritarians -- either God or No God, left or right -- will bring this all crumbling down.

Still, there are no doubt conservative narratives that can pick this apart point by point. Indeed, let the conservatives here among us -- God or No God -- do precisely that.

Right? Isn't that how "for all practical purposes" it works?

Abortion? It’s not something I think or worry about, either for myself or others. I have eliminated much in my mind, that is of no concern to me, so as to declutter my mind to make way for that which is.. I’m constantly busy rewiring myself, you see.

What about in other worlds? I’m a neither/nor kinda type, myself.

My experiences have been more social than political.. so gaining my worldly experiences through the Catholic church and in places of Catholic education, in Theatre and the Arts, in the workplace, in bars, in clubs, in exploring other countries and cultures, and now.. dabbling in politics, which comes with a whole social sphere all of its own.

And now.. for you, is? or you would like it to be..

Perhaps it’s an energy thing, so that our soul-energy departs the body and ends up where all dearly-departed energies are supposed to end up, in that, morality aids in achieving that mortality goal.

Yes. Only my interest on this tread is in reconfiguring that into discussions of actual chosen behaviors in particular contexts in which individuals "think through" morality and immortality in a philosophy venue. Even the Dharma/rta Practitioner is present/experiences dasein.. albeit in various altered states of mind

https://exploringyourmind.com/brain-wav . pha-gamma/ according to this <<< I’m a baby or small child.. as my delta-wave game is strong.

“When it comes to our brain waves, the key to authentic health and happiness lies in allowing each of them to work in their way, at their frequency and at their optimum levels. We should also remember that they aren’t static. Rather, they change as we get older. So, the point isn’t to get obsessed with improving our Beta waves for better focus or our Gamma waves to get into a spiritual state.

1. Delta waves (1 to 3 Hz)
Delta waves have the greatest wave amplitude and are related to deep but dreamless sleep. Interestingly, they are very common in babies and small children. The older we get the fewer of these brainwaves we produce. Our sleep and ability to relax gradually get worse over the years.

2. Theta waves (3.5 to 8 Hz)
This second kind of brain waves goes from 3.5 to 8 Hz and is mostly related to imagination, reflection and sleep. Fun fact: Theta waves are more active when we’re experiencing very deep emotions.

3. Alpha waves (8 to 13 Hz)
Alpha waves arise in those in-between, twilight times when we’re calm but not asleep. It’s when we’re relaxed and ready for meditation. When we’re on the couch watching TV or in bed relaxing, but before falling asleep.

4. Beta waves (12 to 33 Hz)
We’ve now crossed from low/moderate brain waves to a higher level. We’re now in that higher spectrum of frequencies that come from intense neuronal activity. They’re very interesting as well as complex. They have to do with times when we’re giving our full attention, very alert and on the lookout for stimuli.

5. Gamma waves (25 to 100 Hz)
Gamma waves are associated with high level cognitive processing tasks. They are related to our learning style, our ability to take in new information, and our senses and perceptions. For example, people with mental problems or learning difficulties tend to have less than half the usual Gamma wave activity”.
